Before using eye drops, wash your hands. Do not touch the dropper tip or allow it to come into contact with your eyes or any other surface to prevent contamination.

Wearing contact lenses while taking this medication is not advised. Before using contact lenses, sterilize them as directed by the manufacturer and consult your physician.

To create a pouch, tilt your head back, lift your gaze upward, and pull down your lower eyelid. Put one drop into the pouch while holding the dropper right in front of your eye. For a minute or two, look down and gently close your eyes. Gently press with one finger at the inner corner of your eye, close to your nose. This will stop the drug from running out. Avoid blinking and rubbing your eyes. If instructed to do so and if your dosage calls for more than one drop, repeat these steps for your other eye.

Keep the dropper dry. Following every use, replace the dropper cap.

You should wait at least five to ten minutes before applying any additional eye medications, such as drops or ointments. To enable the eye drops to reach the eye, use them prior to applying eye ointments.
